30 seconds that could save your life!

The "ICE" (In Case of Emergency) campaign suggests that you store the word "ICE" in your cell phone address book, and enter the
number of the person you would want to be contacted "In Case of Emergency".

For more than one contact name ICE1, ICE2, ICE3 etc.

In an emergency situation ambulance and hospital staff may then be able to find out who your next of kin are and be able to contact them.

Assuming of course that:
1) they know how to use your phone.
2) you keep you phone on your body
3) the phone is not damaged
4) you don't use a PIN number to secure access to your phone

This is a legitimate idea.

Whatever the drawbacks, carrying ICE information is a worthwhile effort.
