Diving
in the tropical waters
is a wonderful experience.
Countries like the Philippines have some of the best scuba diving on our blue planet.
I
should know. My training and most of my diving has been in the
Philippines.
And
I'm certified... no, not like that! I'm with PADI
- as an advanced open water diver.
Fine
LINKS
to diving sites. Snorkel or scuba, I'll see YOU underwater!
Cheers,
Alex

The LARGEST protected
area in the United States is the 84-million-acre Northwestern
Hawaiian Islands Coral Reef Ecosystem Reserve.
1,200 by 100
nautical miles, the reserve is the second-largest marine protected
area on earth, the first being the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
The largely uninhabited archipelago is LARGER THAN FLORIDA AND
GEORGIA COMBINED. It encompasses 70 percent of the US's coral
reefs.
Nearly 100,000
square nautical miles (131,800 square statute miles), the reserve
is off-limits to oil, gas and mineral production, discharge
or disposal of materials and removal of coral. Eco-tourism is
allowed.
