You've taken photos with your iPad or iPhone? Now you want to transfer them to your PC? You may find that you can't copy photos or videos from your Apple Gadgets.

Option A: Connect the phone to PC like an external drive

To access photos like from any other external drive:

  1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your PC using a USB cable.
  2. Accept popup asking for permission to allow Windows access to your photos and videos.
  3. Open your File Manager or favorite photo program
  4. Look for the folder "Apple iPhone" and go to the subfolder "DCIM"

Option B: Use iTunes to manage iPhone photos

  1. From your PC, download iTunes on the Microsoft Store.
  2. Click Install
  3. Launch iTunes
  4. Plugin your iPhone or iPad
  5. Click on My Computer from your desktop
  6. Click your iPhone or iPads name

Go to Internal Storage, then DCIM and from there you can now see your photos and videos.
