Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details, often for malicious reasons, by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication.

Recently Google has faced this kind of problem where the attacker sends an email from someone who had emailed you before and shares an attachment similar to Google Docs. The trick is, the document is not a Google Docs at all and just pretending under the same name.

Google says they’ve stopped the attack for now, and are “working to prevent this kind of spoofing from happening again.”
