  1. BE CAUTIOUS ONLINE - Online scammers are rampant these days. Learn how to stay safe.
  2. CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS - Do not delay, do this right away. Make them nice and long.
  3. USE TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION - Do it where available, especially accounts where you spend money and where you save personal data (e.g. your emails and social media).
  4. USE A PASSWORD MANAGER - Never done that? Well, this is the right time to start. We recommend KeePass because it is Open Source and does not save anything in the cloud. For other options, check this article about password managers.
  5. MAKE SURE IT IS AUTHENTIC - Verify that a website is authentic before entering personal information. Double-check URLs and company name spellings to avoid phishing sites.
  6. CAREFUL WHAT YOU DOWNLOAD - Do not download files or apps without checking that they are legit. Learn about file extensions. Video files should not have .exe or .msi extensions
