
On October 27, Marin County was upgraded one level from red to orange. California Department of Public Health has moved Marin County from tier 2 to tier 3. The COVID pandemic still remains, but individuals that have been infected have decreased.

In addition, also on October 27, the Risk Reduction Order replaced the Shelter in Place Order and acknowledges the improved condition of COVID-19 in the county. Marin County has increased its capacity to detect current cases, contain the spread, treat infected patients and improved the investigation for contact tracing.
